Broiled Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter Recipe Easy Weeknight Dinners
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, about 1 1/2 inches thick
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions:
Take the sirloin steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
Preheat the broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with foil.
Season both sides of the steak generously with salt and pepper.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic, dried thyme, and dried rosemary. Cook for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally until the garlic is fragrant.
Place the steak on the prepared baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.
Broil the steak for about 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired degree of doneness.
Remove the steak from the oven and brush the garlic butter on top. Let the steak rest for about 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
Cut the steak into thin slices and serve with the garlic butter and lemon wedges on the side.
Enjoy this easy weeknight dinner!
